What an agent can see
An agent reads Ovante as you and never sees more than you can. If you own the org, it sees everything the tools read; on someone else's team it sees less.
On this page
An agent reads Ovante signed in as you, so it never sees more than you can. If you own the org, it sees everything its tools read. If you work in someone else's org, it sees less than the dashboard shows you: contacts, Home, Analytics, notifications and money stay with the owner.
Who sees what
| What the agent reads | The org's owner | A teammate |
|---|---|---|
| Events you work on: details, ticket types, bundles, questions, tickets sold, capacity, requests waiting | Yes | Yes |
| An event's Overview figures: revenue, donations, page views, recent orders | Yes | No |
| The guest list | Yes | With Check guests in or Add guests and approve requests |
| Guests' emails and phones | Yes | With Add guests and approve requests |
| Orders and poll results | Yes | With Add guests and approve requests, without payment amounts |
| Contacts | Yes | No |
| Home, Analytics and notifications | Yes | No |
The permission names are the rows of Compare roles on the Team page. See Roles and permissions.
Why a teammate sees less than in the dashboard
In Ovante, a Manager or a Viewer can open contacts and an event's revenue. The connector checks each read on its own, and for now it gives contacts, the org's figures, an event's Overview and money to the owner alone. A refusal comes back as a sentence the app can read out, such as "Only the org's owner can see this."
What an agent never sees
- Another org's events. An event you don't work on reads as "no event matches", so the agent learns nothing about whether it exists.
- Anything in an org whose owner turned agents off. See Turn agents off for your org.
- Your password, payout details, saved cards or billing. No tool reads them.
What Ovante keeps about the agent
Each call is logged with the tool, whether it worked, and when. Names, emails, phone numbers and search text are taken out before the log is stored. You see your own log under Settings → Connected apps: click Activity beside the app.
Good to know
- Names, answers and notes that guests typed reach the agent as plain fields, never woven into instructions.
- An agent can't change anything yet, whatever your role.
