Schedule a price increase

Add price increases to a ticket and its price goes up by itself at each time you set. Checkout charges the new price the moment it's due.

A price increase raises a ticket's price at a time you choose, with no one there to do it. Sell a ticket at $50 until Nov 1, then $65 until Dec 1, then $75, all from one ticket type.

Add an increase

  1. 1
In the event, open Sales → Tickets and click the ticket.
  2. 2
In Price increases, click Add increase.
  3. 3
Pick the date and time, and type the New price.
  4. 4
Add another increase for each later step.
  5. 5
    Click Save.

Times are in the event's time zone, which the card names. Each increase must be at a time still to come, and no two can start at the same moment.

When the price changes

  • Checkout charges the new price the moment the time passes, even before the ticket list updates.
  • The ticket's listed price in the app and on the page updates within a minute.
  • Orders already placed keep the price they paid.

Once an increase has happened, it leaves the card, and the ticket's Ticket price shows the new amount.

The countdown on Interactive

On an Interactive page, the admission ticket shows "Price increases to $75 in" over a countdown of days, hours, minutes and seconds to the next step. When it reaches zero, the page reads the new price. Showcase and Standard pages show the current price without a countdown.

Good to know

  • To remove a step that hasn't happened yet, click its trash button and Save.
  • Duplicating an event doesn't copy its scheduled increases.
