What changes when you add Gala
The full list of what turns on, changes or unlocks on an event once Ovante adds Gala to it, and what stays the same.
Gala
This is every difference between an event with an open Gala and the same event without it. Each line is a rule Ovante enforces, not a setting you change. Your other events keep working as before.

What happens on the day Gala is turned on
- The page style switches to Showcase, and you can't pick another while the event has Gala.
- Every host already on the event becomes a committee member, keeping their link and their sales.
- The Gala pages unlock in the event menu.
What doesn't change
- Ticket types, orders, refunds, check-in and emails work as they do on any event.
- Your org's other events keep your plan, its fee and its limits.
- A copy of the event made with Duplicate has no Gala.
After the window
Once Gala closes, every Gala page stays readable and stops taking changes. See When Gala closes.

- The event switches to the Showcase style and keeps it, even after Gala closes. Its hosts become the committee, and the Gala pages unlock.

- Every host on it is a committee member, listed by name below the sponsors instead of as a portrait card. Honorees get the portrait cards.

- It runs every Pro feature whatever your plan, pays no Ovante fee, has no attendee cap and doesn't count toward Free's live events.
