The camera shows a black screen
The phone needs a tap before it plays the camera, or the browser blocked camera access. Tap the screen, or allow the camera and try again.

Live check-in shows the camera only once the video plays. Many phones won't play it until someone taps the screen, and then the scanner says Tap to start the camera. A browser that blocked camera access shows Camera access is off instead.
Fix it
- 1Tap the screen, or tap Start camera. The camera comes on and says to point it at a ticket's QR code.
- 2Camera access is off: allow the camera for this site in your browser's settings, then tap Try again.
- 3No camera found or The camera didn't start: tap Open guest list and check guests in by name while you try again, or switch to another browser or phone.
Search and check-in from the guest list work without the camera.
Not this?
- The scanner says Check-in is on Pro and the camera stays off: see Check-in is turned off.
- A scan reads Not on the guest list: see A scan says Not on the guest list.
