I can't change the page style
An event with Gala always uses Showcase. Page style in Edit event offers Showcase alone and says Gala events use Showcase.
Gala
Turning on Gala switched the event to Showcase, and it stays there while the event has Gala. Showcase is the page that carries honorees, the committee list and the sponsor wall. In Edit event, Page style offers Showcase alone with the line "Gala events use Showcase."
Fix it
Nothing needs fixing on a Gala event. For an event on Standard or Interactive, use an event without Gala: a duplicate of a Gala event has no Gala, so its Page style offers every style.
- When
- Gala is unlocked on an event
- Then
- The event switches to the Showcase style and keeps it, even after Gala closes. Its hosts become the committee, and the Gala pages unlock.
- When
- You duplicate a Gala event
- Then
- The copy has no Gala and starts as a draft, with its seating unpublished.
Not this?
- The gallery or background effect is gone: see My gallery or background effect is gone.
- Gala pages won't take changes: see Gala pages are read-only.
