Is this email from Ovante?

Event emails come from the organizer's name "via Ovante". Ovante sends them for the organizer, and your replies go to the organizer, not to Ovante.

On this page

Ovante is the ticketing service the organizer uses. When you buy a ticket, Ovante sends the emails about it on the organizer's behalf: your confirmation, your ticket, updates about the event. The organizer runs the event; Ovante delivers the mail.

How to recognize one

  • From: the organizer's name followed by "via Ovante", like "Chabad of Starbase via Ovante", from an address ending in mail.ovante.app.
  • At the bottom: "Questions? Reply to this email to reach" the organizer, and "Powered by Ovante".
  • Links: buttons like View your ticket open your ticket page on ovante.app or on the organizer's own website.

Why replies go to the organizer

When you reply, your email goes to the address the organizer chose, not to Ovante. That's on purpose: only the organizer can answer questions about the event, change a ticket or refund one.

Text messages

Ovante texts only one thing: a sign-in code you asked for, which starts "Ovante:" and names the organizer. See Text message terms.

Not sure?

Don't click anything in an email you don't trust. Open your ticket from an email you know is real, or contact the organizer directly.

To reach the organizer, reply to your ticket email.
