The ticket page your guests get
Every order has one ticket page, linked from each confirmation. It holds the QR code, the order's state, calendar and directions, and it updates itself during the event.
Each order has one ticket page. The confirmation email's View your ticket button, the Show my tickets button at the end of checkout and every request email link to it. The link itself is the key: anyone who has it can open the page, with no sign-in.
What's on it
- A header saying where things stand, like "You're going", "See you today" or "Request sent".
- The ticket: the event, date, time and venue, the QR code, the holder's name, the ticket type, "1 of 3" or "Admit one", and the order number. An order with several tickets shows one on top of a stack, and a button opens the rest.
- Quick actions: Calendar (Google Calendar or Apple Calendar (.ics)), Directions or Join online once ticket holders can see the address or link, and Save ticket, which saves the ticket as an image.
- The event, the receipt, and Hosted by, which links to your org page.
On some events it also shows a How to pay card while an order paid another way still owes money, the guest's table once you publish seating, and the appeal's pledge card during a Gala appeal.
Each ticket's state
| State | What the guest sees |
|---|---|
| Valid | The QR code and "Show this ticket at the door." |
| Checked in | The code under a "Checked in" stamp. |
| Not going or refunded | "Not going" or "Refunded". No entry. |
| A request | A blurred code under "Awaiting approval" or "Payment needed", with Cancel request. |
| A closed request | "Declined", "Expired" or "Cancelled". No ticket was issued. |
| QR codes turned off | "You're on the list" and "Give your name at check-in." |
It updates itself
On the day of the event and while it runs, an open ticket page checks the order every few seconds. When the door scans the ticket, the guest watches it get stamped "Checked in". An open request and an order still owing money are checked less often.
Open it yourself
- In the ticket drawer, the menu's Open ticket page.
- On a transaction's page, the menu's Open order page.
Good to know
- The page wears the event page's colors and background.
- Each ticket's QR code works from the screen. Ovante doesn't attach codes to emails.
- The address and online link appear once ticket holders can see them. When the public page doesn't show the full address, Edit event's Guests get the address decides when: When they register, or When you release it.
- Don't post a ticket page link publicly: whoever has it can show the code.
