Who can see and register

Three separate settings decide this. Published or Draft decides whether the link works, Visibility whether your calendar lists it, and Who can register who can buy.

On this page

Whether someone can find your event and whether they can buy a ticket are separate questions, with separate settings. Hiding an event from your calendar doesn't lock it, and making it invite-only doesn't hide it.

The three settings

SettingValuesWhere

VisibilityVisible on calendar, Hidden from calendar, and Visible to members on a members-only eventEdit event → Status, or Hide from calendar on the event's Settings page
Who can registerAnyone, Invite only, MembersEdit event → Status, or the event's Settings page

A draft overrides the other two: only your team can see it, whatever they say.

Invite only

Guests enter a host's access code at checkout, and the registration is credited to that host. You set codes and invite limits on the Hosts page. Invite only needs Pro, or an event with Gala; on Free it shows "(Pro)" and can't be picked. See Run an invite-only event.

Members

Only signed-in members can register, on every plan. Pick which tiers under Members → Tiers who can register on the event's Settings page. It starts at All tiers. Typing a member's email at checkout doesn't unlock it. Everyone else sees how to join.

The rules behind this page

When
An event is hidden from your calendar
Then
It's left off your calendar page, and anyone with the link can still open it. Who can register is a separate setting.
When
Who can register is Invite only
Then
A guest checks out only through a host's link or with that host's access code, and only while the host's Invite limit has room. The code credits the order to that host.
When
Who can register is Members
Then
Only someone signed in with a live membership in an allowed tier can register. Typing a member's email doesn't unlock it.
