Bring in past events
Send your history to Salesforce or ChabadOne once per connection, oldest first. The dialog counts what it will send before you start.
ProOwner
A new connection hears only what happens after you connect. Bring in past events sends your history too: every past registration, order, donation and refund, as if it were happening now, oldest first. It runs once per connection.
Before you start
- Turn on the switches you want the history to fill. The replay sends only what the connection is set to hear: Campaigns, Tasks, or Income.
- Attendance has to be on: Track attendance as Campaigns for Salesforce, Track attendance as Event campaigns for ChabadOne. Without it the menu item is turned off.
- A long history counts against your Salesforce org's daily API limit. Pick a start date if you only need recent events.
Bring them in
- 1Open Settings → Integrations, and click Open on the Salesforce or ChabadOne CRM card.
- 2Open the menu on the top row and click Bring in past events.
- 3To send only recent events, set Only events from. Leave it empty for everything.
- 4Check the count under the field: how many events and registrations it will send.
- 5Click Bring in past events. A message says how many items are on their way. They reach your CRM over the next few minutes, and History shows each one.
What it sends
- Each past event becomes a Campaign with everyone who registered, attended or cancelled.
- Orders, donations and refunds go too, each only if the connection is set to hear it.
- Refunds wait a few minutes behind the rest, so an order lands before it's cancelled.
- When
- You use Bring in past events
- Then
- Ovante sends your past activity once for that connection and refuses a second run. Gifts and checkouts already in the CRM aren't logged twice.
Good to know
- It never books anything twice. Both connectors look for what they already wrote: Salesforce by the Task's person, subject and day; ChabadOne by the Ovante id on each Income record.
- Once it has run, the menu item shows Done and the date.
- It becomes available again only on a fresh start: after you disconnect and connect again, or reconnect to a different Salesforce org.
- Other organizations' deliveries aren't held up behind yours. Ovante takes turns between orgs.
