Connect Zapier or Make

Paste the webhook URL from your Zap or Make scenario, tick the events to send, and click Send test so Zapier or Make has sample fields to map.

Zapier and Make each give you a webhook URL that starts an automation. Paste it into Ovante, pick the events, and every time one happens, Ovante sends it there. From Zapier or Make you can pass it on to a mailing list, a spreadsheet, a chat channel or another CRM.

Before you start

  • Connecting needs Pro, and only the org's owner can do it.
  • In Zapier, create a Zap whose trigger is Webhooks by Zapier with Catch Hook, and copy its URL. In Make, add a Custom webhook module to your scenario and copy its URL.

Connect

    Open Settings → Integrations.

    On the Zapier or Make card, click Connect.

    Give the connection a Name that says what it's for, like "Mailing list".

    Paste the URL into Destination URL. It has to start with https.

    Under Events to send, tick each event the automation needs. Attendee registered and Order completed start ticked.

    Under Privacy, tick what to hold back. For a mailing list, tick Only send contacts who opted into marketing.

    Click Create connection. Ovante shows a signing secret; Zapier and Make don't need it, so click Done.

    Click Send test on the connection. Ovante sends one sample per event you ticked, and Zapier or Make shows their fields for you to map.

The events they hear

Attendee revoked fires when a ticket goes to Not going without a refund. Webhook events says exactly when each one fires.

After you connect

The Zapier or Make page lists your connections, each with Send test and a menu: Edit connection, Recent activity, Send existing contacts, View signing secret, Roll signing secret, Pause and Delete. You can add as many connections as you need with Add another.

Good to know

  • Send existing contacts queues every contact on your list that has an email as a Contact created event, for a mailing list that should start full.
  • Sample events carry "sample": true so a Zap can filter them out.
  • When Zapier or Make answers that the hook was deleted (HTTP 410), Ovante turns the connection off and emails the owner. See Use Zapier or Make.
