Search the guest list
Find a guest at the door by the start of any part of their name, their email, or three or more digits of their phone, across everyone on file.
When a guest has no ticket to show, look them up in Live check-in's guest list and check them in from their row.
Find and check in a guest
- 1In Live check-in, tap Guests. On a tablet or laptop the list is already beside the scanner.
- 2Tap the search box, "Search name, email or phone", and type.
- 3Tap Check in on their row. The row turns to the time they came in.
To see more first, tap the row to open the guest sheet: their ticket, the others on their order, and Check in or Undo check-in.
How the search matches
- Names. Every word you type has to start a word of the name, so "dana co" finds Dana Cohen. Accents don't matter: "zoe" finds Zoë.
- Email. A word can also match anywhere in the email.
- Phone. Three or more digits match anywhere in the phone number, like its last four.
Search looks across everyone on file, not only who's coming. Someone whose request is waiting shows a Pending approval tag, and someone set to Not going shows a Not going tag, in place of the Check in button, so you can see why they aren't on the list. Declined, expired and withdrawn requests don't appear.
When nothing matches, the list says so and suggests trying their last name, email or the last digits of their phone.
Without searching
The chips above the list show All, Not here yet and Checked in, each with its count. Unnamed tickets are listed last, as "Unnamed ticket" with "On Dana's order".
Good to know
- Door staff don't see emails or phone numbers, so for them only names match.
- Tapping a guest who is already checked in opens their sheet. It never undoes the check-in on its own.
