Review ad files

Each journal ad starts empty. The buyer sends its artwork or text from their order page, and it waits for you. Approve it and it moves into the journal's page order; ask for changes and the buyer gets your note.

Where ads come from

The buyer's order page asks for each ad with Submit your journal ad. Depending on the size, they upload artwork (PNG, JPG or PDF), type a message within its word limit, or either. They also set Listed as and In honor of. They can change it until your Journal ads deadline on Settings → Gala, or until you approve it.

Review an ad

   In the event, open Fundraising → Journal.

   Under Ads, click Submitted to see the ads waiting for you. The status tabs count each kind.

   Click an ad. The drawer shows the artwork large, or a typed ad as it will print.

   To accept it, click Approve. An Ad approved toast confirms it, and the ad joins Page order.

   To send it back, click Request changes, write under What should change?, and click Send request. Ovante emails the buyer your note, and their order page shows it.

The statuses

Do it for them

In the ad's drawer you can:

• Type the Message of a typed ad, and set Listed as and In honor of.
• Click Upload for them (or Replace) to add a PNG, JPEG or PDF.

Then approve it as you would a buyer's.

Chase what's missing

Remind all at the top of Ads emails every buyer whose ad is still awaiting content or sent back for changes, with a link to their order page. Ovante also emails them 14, 7 and 2 days before the deadline. See Deadlines and reminders.

Good to know

• You can't approve an ad with no content.
• You can request changes on an approved ad, which takes it out of the page order until it's approved again.
• After the deadline, buyers can't change their ad from the order page. You still can.
