Email history

See every email a person was sent, with its delivery timeline and the exact message, and send one again while Ovante still keeps its copy.

On this page

Ovante keeps a record of every email it sends: who got it, when, whether it arrived, and a copy of the message. You can check whether a guest got their confirmation and send it again from the same place.

Find a person's emails

  • A person's page. Open them from Contacts, then switch Activity to Emails. Emails sent to an address they used before are included.
  • A ticket. The ticket drawer has an Emails card with the emails about that ticket.
  • A host. The host's sheet has an Emails card with what they were sent.
  • A blast. Each recipient row in a sent blast opens that person's copy.

Every email your organization has sent is also listed on the Email History page, at ovante.app/emails.

Read an email

Click an email to open it. You see:

  • Its status and its delivery as a timeline: queued, sent, delivered, opened, clicked, or what went wrong (send failed, delivery delayed, bounced, marked as spam).
  • Details: the type of email, who it was from, its reply-to and its message ID.
  • Message: the email exactly as it arrived.

Send it again

  1. 1
    Open the email.
  2. 2
Click Resend. A toast says where it went.

Ovante sends the stored copy, so the guest gets the same email again, not a new one. A blast checks the unsubscribe rules again, and a failed blast copy is retried in place. If the same email went to that address a minute ago, wait and try again.

How long copies are kept

Ovante keeps an email's message for 180 days. After that, its details and delivery stay, the message says it's no longer kept, and the email can't be resent.

The rule behind this page

When
An email is 180 days old
Then
Ovante clears its body. The record of who got it, when, and whether they opened it stays, but the email can no longer be shown or resent.
