Record a payment made offline

Money you collected yourself, like cash at the office or a check in the mail, can be recorded on the order you add by hand. It counts toward the event's revenue, and the order reads Paid with the method you used.

Before you start

On Free, the Payment section says "Offline payments are on Pro", and you can only add attendees at no charge. An event with Gala records payments on any plan.

Record the payment

   In the event, open Guests → Attendees and click Add attendee.

   Add the attendees and their ticket types. See Add attendees by hand.

   Under Payment, turn on Record a payment.

   Pick how they paid in Paid by: Cash, Check, Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, Bank transfer or Other. Set Date received.

   Check Amount for tickets. It starts at the tickets' list price. Enter less and Ovante records the difference as a discount.

   Add a Check number for a check, or a Reference for anything else. Both are optional.

   If part of the money is a gift, enter it in Donation. Leave Tax-deductible on if the receipt should list it as deductible.

   Click the button at the bottom of the sheet. The order appears as Paid, with the method shown as, for example, "Check #1042".

What happens next

• With Send confirmation email on, the buyer gets the "Order confirmation" with every ticket and what was paid.
• On the order's transaction page, Processor reads "Offline".
• If you've connected Salesforce or ChabadOne, it receives the order with how it was paid.
