Write the description
The description is the text guests read before they register. It keeps headings, lists, quotes, bold, italic and links, and long text folds under Read more.

The description is the event's main text: what to expect, who it's for, what to bring. You write it in its own editor, and the event page shows it with the formatting you gave it.
Write it
- 1Click Edit event, or start a new event.
- 2Click the box under the event's name.
- 3Type in Event Description. Select text to format it, or click the plus button beside an empty line (Insert block) to add a block.
- 4Click Done. The text goes back into the form.
- 5Click Save, or Create event for a new one.
Closing Event Description any other way drops what you typed in it.
Formatting you can use
| Where | Options |
|---|---|
| Select text | Heading, Subheading, Bold, Italic, Link, Quote |
| The plus button on an empty line | Heading, Subheading, List, Numbered List, Blockquote, Divider |
Line breaks and blank lines between paragraphs stay as you typed them. Headings use the event's title font, so they match the event's name.
Links
A link opens when it starts with http://, https://, mailto:, sms: or tel:. Any other kind of link goes nowhere on the page, to keep guests safe. Use mailto: for an email address and tel: for a phone number.
How it looks on the page
- On Standard, the description sits under Event info. On Showcase and Interactive, it's the About section near the bottom.
- A long description stops after several lines and fades out, with Read more under it. Guests click anywhere in the section to read the whole text in a drawer.
- Read more shows only when the text was cut.
- A link in the text opens where it points instead of opening the drawer.
