A host isn't getting credit
A host gets credit only when the guest arrives through the host's own link, on the browser that remembers it. Check the order's Referred by line.
Ovante credits a host when the guest opens the host's own link. That browser remembers the host for 7 days, so a guest who comes back later the same way still counts. Credit misses when the guest opened the plain event link, bought on another phone or browser, came back after those days, or opened another host's link afterwards, which moves the credit to that host.
Fix it
- 1In the event, open Guests → Orders and open the order. Referred by under Details names the host, if any. A ticket's drawer says the same as Attribution, or Direct.
- 2Ask the host to share their own link. In Outreach → Hosts, open the host's row menu and click Copy host link.
- 3Ovante can't move credit onto an order after checkout. For a guest you add by hand, pick the host under Credited to host.
- When
- A guest arrives through a host's link
- Then
- Their order is credited to that host. On an event anyone can register for, the device remembers the latest host for 7 days, so a later visit without the link still credits them.
Not this?
- Visits look low next to page views: see Visits look lower than page views.
- You can't add the host at all: see I can't add a host.
