The honorees and committee leaderboard
The Honorees and committee card on the Committee page ranks everyone by the money they've brought in: tickets through their link, ads for them and gifts in their honor.
On this page
On a Gala event, the Committee page opens with a card called Honorees and committee: everyone with either role, ranked by what they've brought in. It's the gala's version of the hosts leaderboard, and it counts more than tickets.
Where to find it
In the event, open Outreach → Committee. The card sits above the list once at least one honoree or committee member is on the event.
What each row shows
- Their photo, with their rank on its corner. The top three are marked once they've brought in money.
- Their name and a chip: Honoree or Committee.
- The money total, and a bar against the leader's.
- How many tickets, ads and gifts make it up.
What counts toward someone
| Counts | Doesn't count | |
|---|---|---|
| Tickets | Tickets bought through their link | Tickets bought any other way |
| Ticket money | Paid tickets through their link | Free tickets, and tickets refunded or set to Not going |
| Ads | Journal ads in their honor, or bought through their link, each counted once | Cancelled ads, refunded ads |
| Gifts | Other gifts recorded in their honor. Checkout doesn't ask for one, so this is usually zero. | Refunded gifts, and an ad's own money, which counts as the ad |
The rank follows the money total. Ties go to whoever has more tickets, then more ads, then the order you set in Committee settings.
A worked example
At Gala Under the Stars, ten seats at $250 sell through Avi Levin's link. Four $500 journal ads are in honor of Rachel Gold, an honoree. Avi leads with $2,500 and 10 tickets. Rachel is second with $2,000 and 4 ads, though no tickets were bought through Rachel's link.
Good to know
- An ad that's both in someone's honor and bought through their link counts once for them.
- The tickets figure is the same count their row shows in the list. The money only counts paid, standing tickets.
- Your role needs to be able to edit the event to see the card.
- When
- A guest arrives through a host's link
- Then
- Their order is credited to that host. On an event anyone can register for, the device remembers the latest host for 7 days, so a later visit without the link still credits them.
- When
- A gift is refunded
- Then
- It leaves Transactions, Recent transactions and every money total, and the donor's contact stops counting it.
