Embed your calendar
Settings, Embed gives you one line of code that shows your published upcoming events on your own website. Visitors open an event and check out inside the frame.
Owner · Admin
The calendar embed shows your published upcoming events in a frame on a page of your own website, the same list as your calendar page. A visitor opens an event, picks tickets and checks out without leaving your site.
Get the code
- 1Open Settings → Embed.
- 2Check the Preview, scaled down to fit.
- 3Leave Use each event's colors on so each event opens in its own palette, or turn it off so every event opened from the embed uses plain, neutral colors.
- 4Click Copy at the top of Embed your calendar.
- 5Paste the code into your website builder's HTML or embed block, and publish that page. Your events appear in the frame.
What shows in the frame
- The list of events, without your calendar page's banner, name or description. Your own site already has those around the frame.
- Events hidden from your calendar don't appear, the same as on your calendar page.
- A visitor who opens an event sees Back to events at the top, which returns to the list inside the frame.
- Checkout happens in the frame. The link to a buyer's tickets afterwards opens in the whole browser window.
Sizing
The frame fills the width of the spot you paste it into and has a fixed height, written in the code. If your page needs more room, change the height number in the code. The page says how tall the frame is today.
Good to know
- The calendar itself always uses Ovante's neutral look. The color switch only decides how the events opened from it look.
- The code uses your Public URL as it's saved under Settings → General. If you change it, copy the code again.
- New events appear in the frame once you publish them. You never need to copy the code again for a new event.
- To embed one event instead, see Embed an event.
