Add a guest to an existing order
Add guest puts more tickets on an order that already exists, under the same buyer and order number. The added tickets are free.

Use Add guest when a buyer is bringing someone extra and you want the ticket on their order rather than a new one. The new tickets join the order under its buyer, so they share its order number and show in the buyer's order everywhere.
Before you start
- The tickets you add are free. You can't record a payment here. To charge for the extra seat, add a new order by hand instead.
- You can't add a guest to a request, because a request's tickets are decided together, or to an order still awaiting payment.
Add a guest
- 1In the event, open Guests → Orders and click the order.
- 2Under Tickets, click Add guest. The order's menu also has Add guest to this order.
- 3Type the guest's name and pick a Ticket type. The name is optional: a slot left blank becomes an unnamed ticket on the buyer's order.
- 4To add more than one, click Add another attendee.
- 5Choose whether to Send confirmation email. The line under it says which email goes and to whom.
- 6Click the button at the bottom of the sheet. The new tickets appear under Tickets in the order drawer.
Good to know
- The order's status and total don't change, because the added tickets are free.
- The buyer stays the buyer. Spending counts toward the buyer; attendance counts toward each ticket holder.
- The order's Source still names how its first ticket came in, so a guest added later doesn't relabel it.
- A named guest joins your contacts by their email, like any ticket holder. An unnamed ticket joins no one until you name it.
