My attendee count and order count don't match
Orders counts purchases and Attendees counts tickets. One order can hold several tickets, and Attendees also lists requests and people Not going.
Orders has one row per purchase. Attendees has one row per ticket. When Dana buys three tickets, one for Dana and two for friends, Orders shows one row and Attendees shows three. Attendees also lists requests waiting for approval and tickets set to Not going, and an extra ticket nobody named shows as Unnamed ticket.
Fix it
- 1In the event, open Guests → Attendees and pick Going in the row of status counts. That's the number of people coming.
- 2Open Guests → Orders. The Tickets column says how many tickets each order holds.
- 3Rows that say Unnamed ticket are extra tickets on someone's order. Name them to know who's coming. See Name an unnamed ticket.
- When
- A buyer checks out
- Then
- Ovante records one order and a ticket for each seat, a bundle's seats included. The first ticket is the buyer's own.
- When
- A guest ticket has no name and no email
- Then
- It stays on the buyer's order as an unnamed ticket, carrying the buyer's name, email and phone so the confirmation and the door have something. It makes no contact and sends nothing to integrations until you name it.
Not this?
- Tickets sold on the Overview is lower than either: see Tickets sold is lower than the orders I see.
- A ticket shows the wrong person: see A guest's ticket is under the wrong person.
