The welcome tour
Five slides a new organization sees once, on its first visit to Home. Closing it opens the setup guide; the last slide opens Create event.
On this page
The welcome tour is five slides that open the first time someone in a new organization visits Home. Each slide shows one thing Ovante does, in a short animated scene. None of it points at the screen behind it.
The five slides
| Slide | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Welcome | What Ovante is for: selling tickets, growing your list and bringing people back. |
| Event pages | A cover sets the page's colors, and guests pay in a few taps, with a donation if they like. |
| Hosts | Each host gets a link of their own, and you see how many people each one brought. |
| Emails | Updates to everyone with a ticket or to a group of them, with who opened and clicked. |
| Memberships | Tiers with recurring dues, member prices, and events open to members only. |
Moving through it
- Take a look on the first slide and Next after it move forward. Back returns. The arrow keys and the dots under the scene work too.
- The last slide's button, Create your first event, closes the tour and opens Create event.
- Closing it any other way, with the X, Escape or a click outside, opens the setup guide in the sidebar so the next step is in view.
Who sees it
The tour shows once per organization, to the first person who opens Home and can change the organization's settings: the owner or an Admin. However it closes, Ovante marks it seen for the whole organization. It doesn't come back; the setup guide covers the same ground step by step.
