Check-in is turned off
Check-in needs Pro, or Gala on the event. On Free the camera stays off and the guest list's Check in buttons are greyed out.
Owner
Checking guests in is a Pro feature, and any event with Gala has it whatever your plan. On Free, Live check-in shows Check-in is on Pro where the camera would be, and the guest list's Check in buttons are greyed out. Undoing a check-in someone already made still works.
Fix it
- 1The owner opens Settings → Plans and upgrades to Pro, or adds Gala to the event.
- 2Open Live check-in again. The scanner asks to Turn on camera.
If a teammate can't open Live check-in at all, their role doesn't include check-in. Door staff, Managers and Admins have it; Viewers don't. See Roles and permissions.

- It runs every Pro feature whatever your plan, pays no Ovante fee, has no attendee cap and doesn't count toward Free's live events.

- Free's rules apply from then on. Events already live stay live, but an event past 50 attendees stops selling and the Pro features turn off, except on events with Gala.
