Use the setup guide
A checklist near the bottom of the sidebar that walks a new organization from its first event to its first shared link. Steps check themselves off.

The setup guide is a checklist in the sidebar that takes a new organization from its first event to its first shared link. Each step checks itself off when Ovante sees the work done, so there's nothing to tick by hand.
Work through the steps
- 1In the sidebar, click Get started, above Settings. The row shows how many steps are done, like 2 of 6.
- 2Point at a step. A preview beside the list shows what the step does and its button.
- 3Click the step, or the button in the preview, like Create event or Open Tickets.
- 4Do the step on the page it opens.
- 5Open the guide again. The step is crossed off once Ovante sees it done.
The six steps

| Create your first event | Your organization has an event. |
| Add tickets | Any of your events has a ticket type. |
| Set up your calendar page | You save the calendar page's name and URL, or save Settings → General. |
| Publish your event | Any of your events is published. |
| Share your event page | Someone visits one of your event pages, or anyone registers. |
| Add hosts | Any of your events has a host. |
The buttons open your next event that hasn't started, or your latest one when none is ahead.
Advanced setup
When the six are done, the same row becomes Advanced setup:

| Require approval | A ticket type requires approval. |
| Create membership tiers | Your organization has a membership tier. |
| Connect an integration | Your organization has a connected integration. |
Once both lists are done, the guide leaves the sidebar.
Hide the guide and bring it back
- 1Open the guide and click the X at the top of the list.
- 2A toast says Setup guide hidden. Click Undo to keep it.
- 3To bring it back, click your organization's name at the bottom of the sidebar, then Setup guide.
Good to know
- Hiding Get started doesn't hide Advanced setup. Each list hides on its own.
- With the sidebar collapsed, the guide is a ring that fills as you go.
- On a phone, the list opens inside the menu drawer, without the previews.
- The owner and Admins see the guide. Other roles don't.
