A saved card asks for its security code
A saved card asks for its code when the member's sign-in isn't recent, or the order is large. Nothing is wrong with the card.
Paying with a saved card asks for the card's security code when the member signed in more than 7 days ago, or the order is $500 or more. Stripe refuses the payment without it. It protects the member when someone else picks up their phone or laptop.
Fix it
- 1The member types the security code from their card. The payment goes through.
- 2To skip the code on smaller orders, the member signs out and signs in again with a fresh code. The clock starts over.
Orders of $500 or more always ask, however recent the sign-in.

- The member doesn't get a sign-in code: see A member didn't get a sign-in code.
