Use PayArc instead

On Pro, you can charge ticket buyers through your own PayArc merchant account. Approval tickets and members' saved cards need Stripe.

If you have a PayArc merchant account with a rate you negotiated, Ovante can charge your ticket buyers through it instead of Stripe. You can keep both connected and switch between them.

Before you start

  • PayArc needs Pro. On Free, the PayArc card shows Upgrade to Pro.
  • Only the org's owner can connect a processor.
  • Have your PayArc API bearer token and client ID ready, plus a client secret if PayArc issued you one.

Connect PayArc

  1. 1
    Open Settings → Payments.
  2. 2
On the PayArc card, click Connect.
  3. 3
Enter the API Bearer Token and the Client ID. Add the Client secret only if your account has one.
  4. 4
Click Test and connect. Ovante checks the keys before saving them.
  5. 5
In Active payment processor, pick PayArc. Switching takes effect at once and keeps both connections.
  6. 6
Under PayArc account, set your Processing rate and click Save rate.

What works and what doesn't

On PayArc
Card checkout and refundsWork
Tickets that need approvalNot available: PayArc can't hold a card until you decide. The approval switch on a ticket type is off, and an order holding an approval ticket is refused at checkout. Regular tickets still sell.
Members' saved cardsNot available. Members type a card at checkout.
Processing fees in your figuresEstimated from your Processing rate, because PayArc bills its fee separately.

Good to know

  • If Pro ends, PayArc checkout stops on every event without Gala. Switch back to Stripe to keep selling.
  • Switching to PayArc while members have saved cards asks you to confirm first, since those cards stay with Stripe.
  • Ovante takes no fee on PayArc payments. See Fees.
