Events
Create, design, publish and pause.
Guides
Create an eventPick a page style, fill in the name, when and where, and click Create event. Every new event starts as a draft, on sale.Edit eventEdit event opens the whole event form in one drawer: change what you need, then click Save once. Closing with unsaved changes asks first.Write the descriptionThe description is the text guests read before they register. It keeps headings, lists, quotes, bold, italic and links, and long text folds under Read more.Set the date, time and time zoneEvery event runs in its own time zone. Guests in that zone see plain times; guests elsewhere see the zone named after the times.Set the locationSearch for the place, add a venue label if you want one, and choose whether the public page shows the full address, the venue only, or nothing.Design your event pageAdd a banner, pick a color from it or your own, choose light or dark, a title font and a background effect. The preview in Edit event shows each change.Add a photo galleryShow photos from past events under your tickets, each with a caption. Turning the gallery off hides it and keeps the photos.Publish or unpublish an eventUse the status button beside Edit event. Published means anyone with the link can open the page; Draft means only your team can see it.Pause ticket salesPausing closes checkout for every ticket at once, paid and free, until you resume. Orders already placed aren't affected, and Paused is not the same as Sold out.Set capacityCapacity is the most people the whole event can hold. Each ticket type can also have its own quantity, and checkout stops at whichever runs out first.Duplicate an eventDuplicate makes a draft copy of an event on a new date, with its tickets, bundles, questions, promo codes, edited emails and page. Guests, hosts and email history stay behind.Delete an eventDelete an event by typing its name to confirm. An event with any payment on record can't be deleted; unpublish it instead.Embed events on your websiteCopy a snippet of code to show one event, or your whole calendar, on a page of your own site. Tickets and checkout work inside it.
How it works
Pick a page styleStandard puts details and registration up front, Showcase is a full-page look for galas and dinners, and Interactive sells one ticket plus sponsorship levels. The photo libraryEvery banner and gallery photo your org uploads goes into one library, ready to reuse on any event. Removing a photo hides it from the library; pages using it keep it.Who can see and registerThree separate settings decide this. Published or Draft decides whether the link works, Visibility whether your calendar lists it, and Who can register who can buy.The Events page and calendarEvents lists every event your org runs, as cards grouped by month or on a month calendar. Upcoming and Past split them, and search filters both views.Use your own domainYour event pages and calendar can live on a web address you own, such as events.yourname.org. Ovante support sets it up after you add one DNS record.Event page trafficA page view is every load of an event page. A visit is one person's stretch of looking, and conversion is checkout orders divided by visits. Your team, hosts on their own links and bots don't count.
