Guides

Connect StripeConnect your own Stripe account to sell paid tickets. Buyers' payments go straight to your Stripe account, and Stripe pays you out on its schedule.Use PayArc insteadOn Pro, you can charge ticket buyers through your own PayArc merchant account. Approval tickets and members' saved cards need Stripe.

Refund an orderRefund order returns the whole charge to the buyer's card, gifts on it included, and cancels every ticket on the order.Record a payment made offlineWhen you add an order by hand, record the cash, check or transfer you collected: method, amount, check number or reference, date received, and an optional donation.

Record a payment laterRecord payment adds money you collected to an order that has none yet, like a comp who paid afterwards or a free registration paid at the door.

Mark a pay-later order as paidWhen a buyer picks an offline way to pay at checkout, the order holds its tickets and owes its total until you mark the money received.

How it works

FeesOn Free, Ovante keeps a share of each card payment. Pro and any event with Gala pay Ovante nothing. Stripe charges its own processing fee, and offline payments carry no fees.Where money shows upRevenue counts ticket money after refunds and fees, with gifts taken out. Donations count every gift. Each screen's figure, and what it counts, in one table.Gifts above a ticket's valueWhen a buyer pays more for a ticket than its fair market value, Ovante books the ticket at its value and the rest as a gift. The buyer still sees the full price.Saved cardsMembers can save cards with your org for faster checkout. The cards live on your Stripe account, the default card is the one renewals use, and only the member can pay with them.
