An event's Overview
The first page of every event: four key figures, what sold and what sold it, who's coming, the latest orders, and on a Gala event what's raised and what's waiting.
On this page
The Overview is the first page of every event, under Overview in the event's menu. It shows how the event is selling, what sold and what sold it, who's coming, and the latest orders.
The metrics card
Four figures in one card, with a period switch above it: 7d, 28d or All time.
| Figure | What it counts |
|---|---|
| Revenue | Ticket sales after fees and refunds. Gifts are counted under Donations instead. |
| Tickets sold | Tickets that still hold a seat. Requests and tickets set to Not going don't count. |
| Donations | Gifts that weren't refunded. On an event that doesn't take donations, this cell shows Checked in instead. |
| Page views | Each load of the event page, not counting your team or bots. |
A role that can't see money, like Door staff, gets Tickets sold, Spots, Checked in and Page views.
Tickets by type and Attribution
Two cards beside the metrics, each a colored bar with the top rows. Click either for the full breakdown, by tickets or by revenue.
- Tickets by type: tickets sold per ticket type. Tickets with no type get a gray row, so the card adds up to Tickets sold.
- Attribution: what brought each sale. An order counts for the host whose link it came through, then for its promo code, and otherwise as Direct.
Guests
Who's coming, as one bar: going, pending approval and not going, with check-ins and seats against capacity. It counts all time, whatever the period says. All attendees opens the Attendees page.
Recent transactions
The latest orders on this event. Click a row to open the order.
The rest of the page
- Launch your first event: a checklist above the metrics, from adding tickets to publishing, until you hide it. Show launch checklist brings it back.
- Banners at the top when something blocks sales, like payouts not connected or Free's attendee limit.
- Poll results, when checkout asks a poll question.
- On an event with Gala, Raised and What's waiting sit under the metrics. See Gala on the Overview.
- When
- An order is a request
- Then
- It holds no seat, and no count or total includes it until you approve it.
- When
- Someone opens an event page
- Then
- It's a page view. It's also a visit when that device hasn't viewed the event in 30 minutes, or arrives through a different host's link.
- When
- Your team, a host on their own link, or a bot opens the page
- Then
- The view doesn't count, and neither does any view of a draft.
