A member can't remove a card
The card a membership renews on can't be removed until another card is the default. Add a card, make it the default, then remove the old one.
A membership that renews by card needs a card to renew on. That card's row says Renews your membership, and its Remove card is turned off with the note "Make another card the default first." You can't manage a member's cards for them; the member does it on their membership page.
Fix it
- 1On their membership page, under Payment methods, the member clicks Add a card and saves the new card. Ticking Make it the default there does step 2 at once.
- 2On the new card's menu, they click Make default. The membership renews on it too.
- 3On the old card's menu, they click Remove card and confirm.
Not this?
- The membership says Payment due: see A membership shows Payment due.
- A saved card asks for its security code: see A saved card asks for its security code.
