Name an unnamed ticket
An unnamed ticket is an extra ticket the buyer didn't name. Give it a name or an email and it becomes that person's, with their own contact.

When a buyer takes extra tickets and leaves the guests' names blank, each extra ticket is an unnamed ticket on the buyer's order. Name it and it becomes that person's ticket.
What an unnamed ticket is
- It reads "Unnamed ticket" in your lists, with "On Dana's order" where an email would be.
- It carries the buyer's name, email and phone underneath, so the confirmation has somewhere to go and the door has something to show.
- It belongs to nobody: no contact, no line on anyone's timeline, and nothing sent to your integrations.
- In the attendee export, its email and phone cells are blank, and its order number ties it to the buyer.
Name it
- 1In the event, open Guests → Attendees and click the "Unnamed ticket" row. From an order, click it under Tickets.
- 2Click Edit. The dialog is Name this ticket. The name and email start blank; Phone starts with the buyer's number, so replace or clear it.
- 3Type a first name, an email, or both.
- 4If you typed an email, read the note under it. It says which contact the ticket joins.
- 5Click Save. The row now shows the person's name.
What happens next
- When
- You give an unnamed ticket a name or an email
- Then
- It becomes that person's: a contact, a row on their timeline, and a new registration sent to your integrations.
- When
- A ticket with a holder is booked
- Then
- The holder joins your contacts at once, matched by email, and the buyer joins from the order. A request joins only when you approve it, and an unnamed ticket not at all.
- The person gets a contact, matched by email. With a name and no email, the ticket still carries the buyer's address, which doesn't count as the guest's own: they get a contact without an email, or none, depending on your contact matching settings.
- Their timeline shows they registered for the event.
- Your integrations hear about it as a new registration, as if the ticket were new.
Good to know
- Saving with the name and email still blank keeps the ticket unnamed. A phone or ticket type you changed is saved.
- Naming a ticket doesn't email anyone.
- Spending stays with the buyer. The named guest's contact shows the event they're coming to, not what was paid.
