A manual edit didn't reach my CRM
Edits and merges you make by hand stay in Ovante. Only changes that come from a registration go to your CRM.
Ovante sends a contact change to Salesforce only when a registration caused it. An edit or a merge you make by hand stays in Ovante, by design, and the Salesforce settings say so: "Edits made by hand in Ovante stay in Ovante." ChabadOne gets no contact updates at all; once ChabadOne has the record, it owns it. An attendee you add by hand is a registration, so that person syncs like any other.
Fix it
Make the same change in your CRM yourself. Ovante never clears a field in Salesforce, so your CRM's value stays until someone changes it there or a later registration brings a new one.
- When
- You edit, merge or import contacts
- Then
- Nothing goes to your CRM or webhooks. Only contact changes that a registration makes are sent.
Not this?
- Nothing syncs at all: see Salesforce says Reconnect.
- Your edit in Ovante keeps changing back: see My edit keeps getting overwritten.
