Order statuses
An order's status says what happened to the decision and the money. Seven values, from Pending approval to Declined, and what moves an order between them.
An order's status answers two questions: was it approved, and is it paid. It never says who is coming; that's each ticket's attendee status. The values below are what the Orders page and the order drawer show.

| Pending approval | A request. The order holds a ticket that needs your approval, so no seat is taken. On a paid request, the card is held, not charged. | Approve it and it becomes Paid or Free, or Awaiting payment if the card can't be charged. Decline it, or the buyer cancels it, or the event ends first, and it becomes Declined. |
| Awaiting payment | One of two things: a request you approved whose card couldn't be charged, or an order the buyer chose to pay another way at checkout, like a check or Zelle. | The buyer pays on the link Ovante emailed, or you click Mark as paid. Either way it becomes Paid. An approved request that isn't paid in time expires and reads Declined. |
| Paid | Money is on the order: a card charge, a payment you recorded, or a gift paid on free tickets. | A refund makes it Refunded. |
| Partially refunded | Some of the order's tickets were refunded and the rest still stand. | Refunding what's left makes it Refunded. |

| Declined | A request that closed with no tickets. The drawer says which: declined by you, expired because the event closed before a decision, or withdrawn by the buyer. | Change status to Going brings back a free request. A paid one can't come back; the buyer requests again. |
Things that don't change the order's status
- Setting a ticket to Not going without a refund. A paid order stays Paid on both the Orders and Transactions pages, so the mismatch shows on purpose, and you can still refund it.
- Checking guests in.
- Adding a guest to the order. Added guests are free and the order keeps its status.
On the Transactions page
The Transactions page lists the same orders across your events. Paid, Partially refunded, Refunded and Free read the same on both pages; a few others differ.
