The same person appears twice
Ovante matches people by email, so two emails make two contacts. Merge them from Review.
Owner · Admin · Manager
A registration joins the contact that holds its email. When the same person registers with a work email one time and a personal one the next, Ovante makes two contacts, even with the same name.
Fix it
- 1Open Contacts → Review.
- 2Under Possible duplicates, find the pair and click Review and merge.
- 3Pick which value to keep for each field, then click Merge contacts. Their registrations and history join the contact you keep.
Review suggests a pair only when the two share a phone number or a checkout identity and their first names agree. If the pair isn't there, open one of the contacts, click Edit and add the phone number the other one has. The pair then shows up under Possible duplicates. A pair someone marked Not the same person isn't suggested again.
- When
- You mark a suggestion Not the same person
- Then
- Review never suggests that pair again.
Not this?
- Review pairs a parent and child: see Review wants to merge a parent and child.
- One ticket sits on the wrong contact: see A guest's ticket is under the wrong person.
