Gala on the Overview
On a Gala event the Overview adds two cards: Raised, what the gala has brought in by stream against your goal, and What's waiting, the logos, ads and guest names still due.
Gala
On this page
On an event with Gala, the event's Overview shows two more cards under the metrics: Raised and What's waiting. They answer the two questions a gala team asks every morning: how much have we brought in, and who still owes us something.
Raised
The big figure is everything the gala has brought in, split into streams:
| Stream | What counts |
|---|---|
| Tickets | Ticket money, the same way the event's revenue counts it. |
| Sponsorships | The gift part of each sponsorship. The seats a level includes count as tickets. |
| Journal ads | The money from each ad. |
| Appeal | Pledges that have been marked paid. It shows once it has money. |
| Other gifts | Every other donation on the event. |
- A bar under the figure shows each stream's share, and a line names the stream that brought in the most.
- When you set a goal, the figure reads "of" the goal and the bar fills toward it. The goal is Goal (optional) on the Donations page, not the appeal's goal.
- Sponsors and ads you recorded as Not paid yet count in Raised. A line under the figure says how much is still to collect, and from how many sponsors and ads. See Collect a promised payment.
- Refunded gifts leave the total.
Appeal pledges that aren't paid yet count on the live screen, not here. See How a pledge becomes money.
What's waiting
One row for each kind of thing buyers owe, once there's at least one:
| Row | Shows | Opens |
|---|---|---|
| Sponsor logos | How many are approved, and how many are to review, not uploaded, or sent back with changes | Sponsors |
| Journal ads | How many are approved, and how many are to review, awaiting content, or sent back | Journal |
| Guest names | How many seats are named, and how many still need a name | Attendees |
Each title links to the page where you fix it. A row turns green when everything in it is done.
Good to know
- With nothing sold yet, What's waiting says so.
- The event menu also shows a dot on Sponsors and Journal when logos or ads wait for your review.
- Your role needs to be able to edit the event to see these cards.
