Set the checkout button

Pick the button's words, such as Get Tickets or RSVP, and whether it shows a price: a picked ticket's, or the cheapest one on sale.

The checkout button is the main button on your event page, the one that starts checkout. You choose its words and whether it carries a price, so it can read "Get Tickets" or "Register" with "From $25" after it.

Set the label

  1. 1
    In the event, open Settings.
  2. 2
Under Registration, pick a Checkout button label.
  3. 3
    Click Save changes.
LabelBest for
Get TicketsThe default, for ticketed events
RSVPFree events that need a headcount
RegisterSign-ups, classes and conferences
PurchasePutting the transaction first
CheckoutA generic call to action
DonateFundraisers and donation drives
Request to joinEvents where you approve each order

When every ticket needs approval and the label is still Get Tickets, the button reads Request to join on its own.

Show a price on it

Show price on button is on by default. Under it, Price to show picks which price:

  • Cheapest ticket: the lowest price among what's on sale. When something else on sale costs more, it reads "From $25".
  • A ticket you pick: that ticket's own price, with no "From". While that ticket is off sale or free, the button shows no price.

The line under the switch shows how the button will read. Turn the switch off for a button with no price. The same price shows on your calendar page's card for the event.

When it shows no price

  • The cheapest thing on sale is free.
  • The picked ticket is off sale or free.
  • No ticket has a price yet.

If you delete the picked ticket, the button goes back to the cheapest.

Good to know

  • Sales closing changes the button's words to Sales closed, Sales not open, Sales paused or Sold out, whatever you picked here.
  • After a guest picks tickets on a Showcase or Interactive page, the button reads "Checkout" with the order's total.
  • On an Interactive page the price is the admission's alone, since that's what the button buys.
When
Show price on button is on
Then
The button shows the ticket picked in Price to show, or the cheapest one on sale, as "From $25" when something else on sale costs more. A picked ticket that's off sale or free shows no price, and with the switch off the button never shows one.
When
Every ticket on sale needs approval
Then
The button says Request to join unless you picked another label, and "Subject to host approval" shows by it. When only some tickets do, those say "Needs approval" and the button stays as it is.
