Questions

The things people ask before they sign up.

No. Checkout is guest-only by design — a buyer picks tickets, answers your questions, and pays. They get a public order page and their tickets by email. Creating an account is optional and happens after the fact.

Stripe does, on your own connected account. Charges are direct rather than routed through us, which means the statement descriptor and the Stripe receipt carry your organization’s name, not Ovante’s. Funds settle to you on Stripe’s normal schedule.

Nothing extra. On the Free plan the 5% platform fee comes out of your proceeds — it is never added to the buyer’s total. On Pro there is no platform fee at all.

Yes. Turning donations on adds a step to checkout with your own suggested amounts, an optional goal, and a purpose line. The donation is charged in the same transaction as the tickets, so there is one payment and one receipt. Nothing is preselected and the step can be skipped. Ovante does not issue tax-deductible receipts — that remains between you and your donors.

Yes. Embed an individual event page or your organization’s full calendar in an iframe. Checkout runs inside the embed, so buyers complete the purchase without leaving your site.

Yes. Ovante syncs contacts and orders to Salesforce, which is the system ChabadOne runs on, and connects to Zapier and Make for everything else. On an onboarding call we map your current setup and turn the sync on with you.

Yes, connected through Stripe Connect — it takes a few minutes and you keep ownership of it. Organizers on Pro can bring a PayArc merchant account instead if they already have better processing rates.

Events register up to 200 attendees on Free and Pro, which covers the dinners, classes, and socials most organizations run weekly. Planning something bigger, like a gala or a communal seder? Talk to sales and we’ll set you up on a plan without the cap.

Whenever you want. Contacts, attendees, and transactions all export to CSV, complete with lifetime value, total donated, and check-in state. There is no export tier and no export limit.

Seating charts, sponsorship packages, and attendee waitlists are still in development. Email blasts are composed and sent by hand rather than scheduled or automated. If something you need is missing, ask us on a call. The roadmap is short and we build fast.
