Terms of service
Last updated August 30, 2026
These terms are an agreement between Ovante LLC (“Ovante”, “we”) and you. If you create an account or register for an event on the platform, they apply to you. The short version: organizers run their events and own their attendee relationships; we provide the software; payments go directly to the organizer through their own payment account.
The service
Ovante lets organizations publish event pages, sell tickets, collect donations, check attendees in, and keep a contact record of their buyers. We may change, add, or retire features; if a change materially reduces what a paying plan includes, we will tell subscribers before it takes effect.
Accounts
You must give accurate information, keep your credentials to yourself, and be authorized to act for the organization you register. You are responsible for what happens under your account. We can suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms or put other users at risk.
Payments and fees
Ticket sales and donations are charged by Stripe or PayArc directly on the organizer’s own connected account. Ovante is not the merchant, does not hold your funds, and does not control settlement timing. On the Free plan we collect a 5% platform fee out of the organizer’s proceeds; paid plans reduce or remove that fee as described on the pricing page. Payment processors charge their own processing fees on every plan. Plan subscriptions are billed in advance and can be cancelled any time, taking effect at the end of the billing period.
Organizers are responsible for their events
- The event itself: that it happens as described, and that refunds are handled under the policy the organizer sets and displays.
- Legal compliance for their sales: taxes, charitable solicitation rules, and any receipts. Ovante does not issue tax or donation receipts of any kind.
- Their attendees’ information: using registration data and email tools lawfully, honoring requests from their own attendees, and not uploading contact lists they have no right to use.
Disputes about an event, its tickets, or its refunds are between the attendee and the organizer. We will help both sides with records where we can.
Acceptable use
No unlawful events or content, no fraud, no harassment, no attempts to probe or overload the platform, no reselling of the service, and no sending spam through the email tools. We can remove content or events that violate this.
Your data
Organizers own their event content and attendee records and can export them at any time. Our handling of personal information is described in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided as-is. We work to keep it available and correct, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, and we are not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect damages. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using Ovante and close your account at any time; export your data first. We can terminate accounts for breach of these terms, with notice where practical. Sections about payments already made, data, and liability survive termination.
Changes and contact
When these terms change, the date above changes with it, and material changes will be announced to organizers by email before they take effect. Questions go to support@ovante.app.
